About The Still Growing Up Film Club
The Still Growing Up Film Club is a podcast exploring the lessons we can learn from coming-of-age movies and how their stories can help us continue growing, changing and understanding ourselves throughout adulthood.
Each episode takes the form of a stand-alone essay focused on a different film, examining its characters, choices and experiences to uncover the lessons hidden within their journeys. From growing up and finding your identity to relationships, belonging and becoming the person you want to be, the series looks beyond the movies themselves to ask what they can teach us about our own lives.
Made with a special appreciation for the late-diagnosed autistic community and all who love them, The Still Growing Up Film Club is an invitation to revisit the rulebooks handed to us by coming-of-age protagonists, and discover that growing up doesn't have to stop when adulthood begins.
